Their sole album, a superb hard rock collection featuring searing guitar solos, appeared on the tiny Poison Ring label the following year, but failed to catch on, despite being released in Europe as well...

The Pulse EPs gathers together some of the strongest tracks FSOL recorded before the release of Accelerator (1991). Originally pressed as four 12" EPs between 1991 and 1992, the record collects 16 pieces under the band's more well known aliases of Mental Cube, Indo Tribe, Yage and Smart Systems, plus the first ever Future Sound of London tracks (which, "Hardhead" in particular, are far removed from the layered, abstract work the name is most famous for). On that level, there is little here for those wanting another Lifeforms or Dead Cities, but any fans of Accelerator are urged to get ahold of this, and it works as a more singular and focussed effort than the similar Earthbeat compilation, which veers jarringly from vocal house to ambient breaks and acid house...

While Omicron's first album "Acrocosm" was an ambient techno album, similar to other releases of the time (B12'a Electro-Soma, Global Communications 76:14), "The Generation And Motion Of A Pulse" is strictly ambient, with a few beats scattered here and there, (Think SETI, only more restrained). This is an album best enjoyed in full, with the lights low.

When the core of a band stays together since the beginning, the quality and structure of their music stays greatly unchanged and constantly improves, this is the case for Belgium’s premier Atmospheric Death/Black/Doom outfit Thurisaz. Having caught our attention since their magnificent debut “Scent of a Dream” back in 2004, the band has been taking their time to release albums, but every time the wait is completely worth it. With “The Pulse of Mourning” the band further refines their signature sound and delivers nine brilliantly melancholic songs.

MP3 320 kbps CBR | 55:52 min | 132 MB
Genre: Jazz | Label: Jazz Village

From Gil Evans to Youn Sun Nah, from the Orchestre National de Jazz to Lars Danielsson, this eclectic musician, more 'rhythmician' than drummer, has played with the cream of the international jazz scene, not to mention his numerous forays into pop, French chanson, world music and film scores. From an innovative percussionist, known to his peers as 'the wizard', this exceptional first solo album, both progressive and dynamic, can take its place alongside the very best of contemporary European jazz. Xavier Desandre Navarre s quartet radiates with his luminous brilliance, just as its heart pulses to his sensuous rhythms. Details
