The liberation of Europe and the destruction of the Third Reich is a story of courage and enduring triumph, of calamity and miscalculation. In this first volume of the Liberation Trilogy, Rick Atkinson shows why no modern learner can understand the ultimate victory of the Allied powers without a grasp of the great drama that unfolded in North Africa in 1942 and 1943. That first year of the Allied war was a pivotal point in American history, the moment when the United States began to act like a great power.

Godless: The Church of Liberalism By Ann Coulter
Publisher: Random House Audio 2007-07-10 | ISBN: 0739343106 | Language: English | Audio CD in MP3 | 185 MB

If a martian landed in America and set out to determine the nation's official state religion, he would have to conclude it is liberalism, while Christianity and Judaism are prohibited by law.
Many Americans are outraged by liberal hostility to traditional religion. But as Ann Coulter reveals in this, her most explosive book yet, to focus solely on the Left's attacks on our Judeo-Christian tradition is to miss a larger point: liberalism is a religion—a godless one... Details

New Wave / New Romantic / Synth Pop

OMD have rarely been as dance-oriented as they are on Liberator, a collection of retro-disco and contemporary '90s club cuts. While it is far from the experimental and edgy synth-pop that earned the group rave reviews in the early '80s, it is an enjoyable, lightweight collection of appealing dance-pop. I'm not sure why people seem to dismiss this album as dance/tripe, but as far as I'm concerned, it is one of the best cd's O.M.D. ever released. Right up there with "Sugar Tax". There is depth in these songs, you just have to listen. The opening track "Stand Above Me" is a great song and I love the backing vocal parts near the end.

Jonathan Quong, "Liberalism without Perfection"
2011 | ISBN: 0199594872 | 352 pages | PDF | 12,9 MB

A growing number of political philosophers favor a view called liberal perfectionism. According to this view, liberal political morality is characterized by a commitment to helping individuals lead autonomous lives and making other valuable choices. In this book Jonathan Quong rejects this widely held view and offers an alternative account of liberal political morality. Quong argues that the liberal state should not be engaged in determining what constitutes a valuable or worthwhile life nor trying to make sure that individuals live up to this ideal.
