During the time of change of the mid-19th Century, Yaichiro is bid farewell by his fellow samurai friends Munezo and Samon as he leaves their clan's fiefdom on the northwest coast of Japan (Unasaka) to take an important position within the shogunate in far away Edo. Munezo has lived modestly with his mother and sister Shino after his father was forced into suicide after the failure of a bridge project. Kie, a farm girl serves them as a maid in their house. As time passes, Munezo's sister marries Samon, his mother dies, Kie is married into a merchant family, and he is required to learn western methods of warfare such as the use of artillery and firearms from an official sent from Edo. Learning that Kie is ill due to abuse, he rescues her from her husband's family. Although sharing mutual affection and respect, a marriage between Munezo and Kie is still impossible due to different castes... Details

Stumptown #1-4 (of 4)
4 CBZ's | Oni Press | Nov 4 2009 - Sep 1 2010 | 124.4 MB Total

Greg Rucka is one of the more successful writers in the comics industry when it comes to weaving a good crime yarn. And Stumptown is a very good crime yarn, with a fully fleshed-out female lead, set in noir atmosphere through the sharpest writing around. It's Rucka's take on Raymond Chandler, a Portland Big Sleep with a heroine, Dex Parios, greatly helped by a very strong artist in Matthew Southworth. In comic book terms, it's Jason Aaron's Scalped meets Ed Brubaker's Criminal. I thought at first this book is going to be just a 4-issue limited series but I guess it's success made the editor's at Oni Press change their minds. The solicitation for issue #4, released September 1, 2010, mentions of "...the conclusion to the debut Stumptown story arc", of the creative team's first "Stumptown adventure." They may have issue #5 in the works, or perhaps another 4-issue limited series in mind. Highly recommended.

Rock 'n' Roll | MP3 CBR 320 kbps | 4,22 Gb
Label: Bear Family Records | Release Year: 1993-2011

"That'll Flat... Git It!" is one of the best compilations of the 1950's rockabilly. Each volume contains nearly 30 songs, mostly rockabilly classics and unknown great artists.
In spite the tracks were remastered, you can hear some noise, especially in the end of the tracks. This is because many songs were taken from original vinyl singles.

The Sixth Gun #1-12 (Ongoing, Update)
12 CBZ's 1 CBR in 3 RAR's | Release Dates May 1 2010 - Jun 29 2011 | 320.80 MB Total

To say that Oni Press' The Sixth Gun is just another Weird Western (a combination of Western and another literary genre, usually, occult, horror or fantasy) is like saying Image Comics' The Walking Dead is just another zombie comic book. Writer Cullen Bunn and artist Brian Hurtt have together created a modern book classic that keeps getting better each month. It is unpredictable, with each installment of the series giving us situations that are very familiar yet strikingly different, with enough inventiveness and coolness driven by highly kinetic art from a unique perspective that keeps us waiting for--and expecting--more. The first issue of this series was also a free giveaway for Free Comic Book Day 2010 last May 1, 2010. The regular issue #1 reprints the same interiors as the FCBD issue and was released alongside issue #2 on July 14, 2010. All 13 issues thus far published are included in this update, and all are HQ Minutemen scans.
