In a red light district, newswoman Karen White is bugged by the police, investigating serial killer Eddie Quist, who has been molesting her through phone calls. After police officers find them in a peep-show cabin and shoot Eddie, Karen becomes emotionally disturbed and loses her memory. Hoping to conquer her inner demons, she heads for the Colony, a secluded retreat where the creepy residents are rather too eager to make her feel at home. There also seems to be a bizarre connection between Eddie Quist and this supposedly safe haven. And when, after nights of being tormented by unearthly cries, Karen ventures into the forest and makes a terrifying discovery. Details

Television newswoman Karen White takes some much-needed time off after a traumatic incident with a serial killer. Hoping to conquer her inner demons, she heads for The Colony, a secluded retreat where the creepy residents are a little too eager to make her feel at home. Also, there seems to be a bizarre connection between Eddie Quist and this supposedly safe haven. And when, after nights of being tormented by unearthly cries, Karen ventures into the forest and makes a terrifying discovery. Now she must not only fight for her life... but for her very soul! Sun Set is a box set of various Klaatu rarities, outtakes, demos, live tracks and other recordings from 1973 to 1981. It was launched at the "KlaatuKon" 2005 convention in Toronto, Canada, receiving high praise from Klaatu fans around the world. What some considered as the highlights of the compilation were the final nine tracks on disc one, which composed alternate versions of the entirety of Klaatu's second album, Hope. Referred to as "The Orchestral Hope" or "The Alterna-Hope", this included a track not present on the version of Hope which was originally released; "Epilogue," which joined "So Said the Lighthouse Keeper" and "Hope".

Suicide - Half Alive (1981)

There was an aesthetic revolution implied in the coupling of Alan Vega's reckless rockabilly howling and the hypnotic buzz and drone of Martin Rev's keys, and that revolution in sound birthed (perhaps unwittingly) two primary schools of synthesized rock: wimpy, gutless new wave duos and the painful dissonance of bands like Skinny Puppy, Foetus, and the later Chicago Wax-Trax scene. Alan Vega - Collision Drive (1981)
Rock & Roll | 1cd | EAC Rip | Flac + Cue + Log | covers
Interphon IPCD 2014-36 | rel: 1987 | 240Mb

Collision Drive continues the trend started on the first Alan Vega album of incorporating Vega's love of '50s rock and R&B. "Ghost Rider," which sounded cold, sleek, and mechanical on Suicide's first album, now becomes an upbeat rockabilly rave-up. Vega covers Gene Vincent's "Be-Bop-A-Lula" and plays it mostly straight (although he does throw in his trademark howls and yelps, along with some synthesizers). The two versions of "Magdalena" aren't really different enough to justify their presence, although the song itself is likable. Details

Gun Club - Fire Of Love 1981

Genre:Rock

Recorded in New Orleans in just six speed fuelled days (allegedly for less than $2,000), The Gun Club’s unsettling, inspirational debut supposedly had Jack White fixated by its gut wrenching howl. Driven/Sermonized by quixotic frontman Jeffrey Lee Pierce, Fire of Love is a bite from the shit sandwich of his visceral world, in which the lines of religion, morality, ethnicity, and (most importantly of all) the blues; punk and rock and roll are twisted beyond recognition. Using the souls of possessed delta troubadours and Blondie as his muse, the shamanic Californian conjured up an unsettling Bayou panorama full of menace and soaked in blood, bourbon, and voodoo.
