Working in Dr. Cranley's laboratory, scientist Jack Griffin was always given the latitude to conduct some of his own experiments. His sudden departure, however, has Cranley's daughter Flora worried about him. Griffin has taken a room at the nearby Lion's Head Inn, hoping to reverse an experiment he conducted on himself that made him invisible. Unfortunately, the drug he used has also warped his mind, making him aggressive and dangerous. Details

The film opens with a mysterious stranger, his face swathed in bandages and his eyes obscured by dark spectacles, taking a room at an inn at the English village of Iping (in Sussex). Never leaving his quarters, the stranger demands that the staff leave him completely alone. However, his dark secret is slowly revealed to his suspicious landlady and the villagers: he is an invisible man. When the innkeeper (Forrester Harvey) and his semi-hysterical wife (Una O'Connor) tell him to leave after he makes a huge mess in the parlor and drives away the other patrons, he tears off the bandages, laughing maniacally, and throws the innkeeper down the stairs. He takes off the rest of his clothes, rendering himself completely invisible, and tries to strangle a police officer. Details

When Slavko's old friend Djulaga dies, Slavko feels obliged to go to the funeral. But in his hometown of Mostar, in Bosnia & Herzegovina, this simple social obligation has the potential to get him into all kinds of trouble: with his neighbors or even with local political bigwigs. Yet if he does not go, his wife will think he's a coward, the grieving family will never forgive him - and he might have trouble forgiving himself. This is a compelling tale of everyday life in a fractured society, and a world where paranoia, comedy and drama co-exist. It is also an astute psychological portrait of a man who is forced to cross the invisible line that divides two communities. Above all, it is the story of a man who lost everything that defined him, when his country disintegrated.

Freedom can take you to some strange places. Just ask New Jersey prog rock outfit Thank You Scientist, who approached their new album, Stranger Heads Prevail, by throwing out expectations and anything else that might handcuff their creativity. According to the band’s guitarist and primary songwriter Tom Monda, their breakthrough debut Maps of Non-Existent Places afforded them this luxury. “We had no expectations, no audience to target. We wrote whatever we felt,” he says. “When that record succeeded critically and commercially, it was a big ‘fuck you’ to anyone who didn’t see value in our band.” Details

Rainbow Serpent are one of the best Electronic Music bands to emerge from Germany having a rare talent for infectious sequences and sublime melodies. At one moment they can produce tracks overflowing with the joy of life and then in the next turn their hands to growling menacing stuff. Frank Specht is one half of the awesome Rainbow Serpent and as with Gerd Wienekamp's (the other half of Rainbow Serpent) album 'Der Laborant - Kontakt' what we get is a mixture of very recognisable Serpent characteristics as well as a different angle identifying the individuality of each member.

“Dio” apparently is a means for the Norwegian singer (with a portfolio spanning from MASTERPLAN, Y. Malmsteen and ARK to AVANTASIA, MILLENNIUM and THE SNAKES plus the Allen/Lande collaboration) to pay tribute to one of his everlasting idols. One point of interest regarding this CD is that Jorn compiles a set consisting of both classic (“Stand Up And Shout”, “Don’t Talk To Strangers” and “Kill The King”) and more obscure (“Shame On The Night”, “Night People”, “Lord Of The Last Day”) numbers from Ronnie James Dio’s illustrious career, mostly from his DIO days. This brings forth a good chance for many to get familiar with the mythical Heavy Metal singer’s ‘invisible’ side.
As a personal “thank you”, Jorn and his band penned a song called “Song For Ronnie James” which is the first one in the list.
