Features 24 bit remastering and comes with a mini-description. The 1960's represented a very interesting time for musicians of all genres; three particular reasons began a trend for future generations of musical artists. The Beach Boys, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones were the 3 reasons which permanently altered the musical landscape and basically made it impossible for stars of the past to remain economically viable in the present. The only 2 exceptions to the rule of course were Mel Tormé and Frank Sinatra.

Features 24 bit remastering and comes with a mini-description. A great return to form for vocalist Earl Coleman – a singer who'd recorded earlier in the bop years, but who makes a rare 60s appearance here on a soulful set for Atlantic Records! Coleman's got a rich voice that's somewhere between Johnny Hartman and Billy Eckstine – with a great range that really goes deep when it wants, yet still has a fluid sensibility that's definitely jazz more than anything else. Billy Taylor's on the record on piano, and leads the combo on most numbers – but the set also features some nice arrangements from Frank Foster and Tom McIntosh, both of whom really keep things interesting. Titles include "Charade", "When Did You Leave Heaven", "I Wish I Knew", "Day In the Life Of a Fool", and "I Won't Tell A Soul".

Features 24 bit remastering and comes with a mini-description. 1943 was a banner year for the musical theater. For it was then that Rodgers and Hammerstein joined forces for the first time and wrote the memorable "Oklahoma." What happened after "Oklahoma" is history - and what a history it is! "Carousel", "South Pacific", "The King and I" were among the hits that followed, and now with "Flower Drum Song" add another triumph to the string of successes this team has contributed to the American musical scene.

The music of Rodgers & Hammerstein gets a very groovy twist here – thanks to the mighty talents of the Australian Jazz Quintet! The group have a great mix of instruments – both the vibes of Jack Brokensha and piano of Bryce Rhodes, and the intertwining reeds of Erroll Buddle and Dick Healey – both players who've learned a lot from the west coast scene of the early 50s, and really know how to get creative with their phrasing and solos! The vibes often give the tunes a nicely moody feel – one that's underscored even more by the reeds on some of the more exotic tunes – and titles include "The Gentleman Is A Dope", "Do I Love You", "Wonderful Guy", "Hello Young Lovers", and "March Of The Siamese Children".

A surprisingly righteous little album from Stanley Cowell – a set cut after his more famous music for the Strata East label, but one that still hangs onto a similar vibe! The style's a bit tighter than before, but still filled with soul and spirit – thanks to a lineup that includes Julian Priester on trombone, Eddie Henderson on trumpet, and Pat Patrick on reeds – making a key appearance here away from the Sun Ra Arkestra! Cowell plays both piano and keyboards, and the record has a bit of strings, and a bit of vocals – but all used tastefully, in ways that further enforce the depth of the tunes. Tracks include "El Space-O", "Ask Him", "Island Of Haitoo", and "I'm Tryin To Find A Way".

Join CNN's MILLENNIUM for a panoramic sweep over the last 1,000 years, watching the people, events and achievements that shaped the world. The 10, one-hour episodes of MILLENNIUM are extraordinary in their range of vision and compelling in their presentation. Yet MILLENNIUM is neither chronological nor all-encompassing. Instead, it is eclectic, a pastiche of things great--or small--that sculpted the world. Each of the 10 episodes of MILLENNIUM focuses on a single century, brought to life by five vignettes from five different locations worldwide. Inspired by Felipe Fernandez-Armesto's book, "Millennium," and filmed in 28 countries, the series is as geographically far-ranging as the world it covers. Its producers and crews spent more than two years and traveled 100,000 miles gathering footage. MILLENNIUM reconstructs the visual images of past ages using this footage, along with vivid re-enactments and computer-generated graphic animation.

On July 24 2016 at the Orogel Stadium in Cesena (Emilia Romagna - Italy), we organized an event never seen before: Rockin'1000 will bring together 1000 Rockers, to perform live the songs that made the History of Rock, and create the biggest Rock concert ever: That's Live. It’s been one year since the Rockin’ 1000 launched their incredible “Learn to Fly” video, requesting the Foo Fighters to perform in Cesena, Italy. Overall, it’s a story that remains one of my favourite to ever happen in rock music. It’s well known Dave Grohl and company emotionally responded to the incredible video, which now has over 32 million views (declared Italy’s most seen video of 2015) and was listed in the “Best of 2015” by both Google and Facebook. The Foo Fighters made their dream come true by playing in Cesena, Italy this past November. Their opening song? “Learn to Fly.” Details
