VA - Goldmine Soul Supply (collection of 142 CDs)
MP3 CBR 320 | 20.7 GB (approx 150mb per album) | Hit & miss artwork included
Soul | Goldmine/Soul Supply | 5% recovery record | Source: internet

I have a collection of 135 titles (142 CDs) issued by Goldmine/Soul Supply record company. This is not a box set but rather it is a collection of albums that are similar in that they all are rare soul compilations by the same company. There are some tracks that are on more than one album but considering the scope and magnitude of this collection, the number of duplicated tracks is small. Some CDs have good artwork, some have none, most have some artwork of varying quality. All are 320 CBR MP3 and are fully tagged. Original post now has added CDs.

From remote areas of Indonesia to southern Spain, this 17-CD box set is comprehensive in its scope of music made by those following the Islamic faith. The discs include Quran recitations, Sufi qawwali, the music of whirling dervishes, the folk music of Egypt, Andalusian sounds of Morocco, and recordings from Yemen, Tunisia, Turkey, Iran, and several other countries, some of which you may not have thought housed Muslim populations. In short, the collection is sublime, recorded and researched lovingly by producer David Parsons, who managed to cover the full range of Islamic music. --Karen K. Hugg Details

John Zorn - Locus Solus (1983) {Stress Records}
EAC 1.0b3 | FLAC tracks level 8 | Cue+Log+M3U | Full Scans 300dpi | 462MB + 5% Recovery
MP3 CBR 320 Kbps | 194MB + 5% Recovery
Genre: Avant-Garde Jazz, Free Jazz

This captures over an hour's worth of John Zorn's search for the improvised song form. Several lineups from 1983 are documented here. The first eight tracks feature Zorn with Christian Marclay spinning and Peter Blegvad speaking. The text is unremarkable (for example, Honey-Cab's "...tell her everything I know/ In ink as black as carbon/ On paper white as snow"), but Blegvad's sonorous delivery works well with the chaos that the other two musicians spit and spin out, combining into tides of noisy mischief.

2CD | ISO / Sony Music, 508222 9 | ~ 479 or 162 Mb | Scans(png) -> 444 Mb
Pop Rock / Classic Rock / Art Rock

Heathen marks a new beginning for David Bowie in some ways -- it's his first record since leaving Virgin, his first for Columbia Records, his first for his new label, ISO -- yet it's hardly a new musical direction. Like Hours, this finds Bowie sifting through the sounds of his past, completely at ease with his legacy, crafting a colorful, satisfying album that feels like a classic Bowie album...

Mikhail Pletnev - Tchaikovsky: The Symphonies (2010)
EAC Rip | Flac (Image + cue + log) | 1.94 GB | MP3 320Kbps CBR | 1.15 GB | 7 CDs | Full Scans
Genre: Classical | Label: Deutsche Grammophon | Catalog Number: 001477302

Deutsche Grammophon's 2010 reissue of Mikhail Pletnev's recordings of the symphonies and major orchestral works of Pyotr Il'yich Tchaikovsky is a seven-disc trimline box set that presents the music in a logical fashion and meets expectations of what this admired conductor can do. Pletnev leads the Russian National Orchestra with confidence and clearheaded thinking, and his interpretations of Tchaikovsky definitely lean to the rational side of Romanticism: as passionate and emotional as the works are in the public imagination, Pletnev always remembers that Tchaikovsky was at heart a classicist, so he is careful not to neglect the formal concerns and gracefulness of melody that are the soul of the music.

Various Artists - The Funk Box (2000)

Label: Hip-O Records | Catalog.#: 314 541 789-2 | Genre: Disco, Funk

At four discs and 55 tracks, Hip-O's Funk Box seems to want to be the last word on funk, and while it's a pretty good set, it ends up more representative than definitive of its chosen genre. Virtually all of funk's most important artists are featured, but not always by their most significant singles -- sometimes the collection gets it right...

Manderlay (2005)
A Film by Lars von Trier
DVD9 | VIDEO_TS | NTSC 16:9 | Cover | 02:18:26 | 7,28 Gb
Audio: English AC3 5.1 @ 448 Kbps | Subs: English SDH, Spanish
Genre: Art-house, Drama

After gangster Mulligan's cars colony, fleeing northern justice, finds a hiding place in Alabama, spoiled, naive daughter Grace refuses to travel on after seeing the Manderlay cotton plantation being run under slavery rules, called Mam's law, inclusive flogging. She keeps half of dad's goons as guard to force the dying matriarch-owner's heirs, which she shamelessly dispossesses and reduces to 'staff', to taste destitution under absurd, gun-imposed contracts. The 'slaves' are made free partners, supposed to vote for progress after lessons from Grace. But almost all her democracy-pupils prove fickle, dumb and selfish, except old Willem. Her and their ignorance in Southern planting and crafty Dixie ways means more problems are created then solved. By the time dad returns to pick her up or abandon her for good, she's the one who has learned and changed the most. Details

Weezer - Maladroit
FLAC, EAC, LOG & CUE | Lossless Artwork | Size: 506 MB + Recovery Info
Label/Cat#: Universal International UICF-1007 | Country/Year: Japan 2002 + Bonus
Genre: Alternative Rock | Hoster: FP/FF

So, it's essentially a harder-rocking version of the last album. But you know what? It doesn't matter because the band is at a peak. Cuomo continues to write consistently strong songs, occasionally penning a flat-out stunner ("Dope Nose" is one of Weezer's all-time greatest songs), the band is tighter than ever, and the record crackles with energy -- nothing new, per se, but still vibrant, catchy, and satisfying.
