Good-natured rock & roll wise guy Joe Walsh not only made a name for himself as guitarist for The Eagles and The James Gang, but he also had a successful solo career. Known for his self-deprecating sense of humor ("Life's Been Good") and his dirty guitar boogie (the pulsating "Rocky Mountain Way"), Walsh drew a fan base from those who were fond of the harder edge he gave to The Eagles. He was easily one of the better guitarists of his generation, not so much for flashy licks but for his rhythmic sensibilities and awareness of restraint and economy. Yet Walsh continued to view himself as an "Ordinary Average Guy"...

This is the best sounding transfer from a Quadraphonic tape (Q8) that I have EVER HEARD!
This AudioSpectrum is really something.... AND , it can stand shoulder to shoulder with ANY commercial release...especially since labels are forgetting Hi Resolution Multichannel Audio!

ENJOY THIS "ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH" ON QUADRAPHONIC!!!

The Smoker You Drink, the Player You Get is the second album by Joe Walsh and his band Barnstorm, released in 1973, although the album's front cover credits only Walsh. On this album, Walsh shares the vocals and songwriting with the other three members of Barnstorm, drummer/multi-instrumentalist Joe Vitale, bassist Kenny Passarelli, and the new member, keyboardist Rocke Grace. As a result, a variety of styles are explored on this album. There are elements of blues, jazz, folk, pop, and even Caribbean music. After the success of this album, Barnstorm disbanded, and Walsh continued as a solo artist.
